James(2)Fraser [1] was born January 25, 1826, and died December 15, 1897. He married Eleanor Ann Kevan May 12, 1859, daughter of Andrew Kevan and Ann Clark. She was born June 21, 1837, and died February 11, 1919 in New York City. Notes for James Fraser: Family firm (partners were James, William Kevan Major, William and George S. Fraser) tanned hemlock sole leather. Ended in about 1893. James was member of St. Andrew's Society of NY, Natural History Society, Academy of Design. He was elder of 5th Ave. Presb. Church.
